Frabjous day

Banks of celandines, wood anenomes, primroses, violets and stitchwort. Skylarks, buzzards and red kites. Beautiful countryside in fine spring weather.

20 miles walked and 20 miles biked. The Pashley rolled along the road to Tidcombe. We had morning prayer there, and then followed field paths to Burbage. A few miles further on we found St Katharines in Savernake Forest. Delicious pea soup and deep prayer. Over tiny country roads to Little Bedwyn and coffee cake. Great Bedwyn along the canal for evening prayer prayers a blue cake with marzipan fishes. Across the hills and through the woods in good company for compline.

Such a good day. Now on train back home.
