Perfect

I had the most serene and sublime of spiritual experiences on the hills. I stood out in the moonlight as midnight came. Nothing but an occasional owl, or a disturbed pheasant.

This morning I walked down into Mere joined by confirmation candidates and their families two miles out. Simple Anglican liturgy well done as people of all ages were baptized and confirmed. Preceded of course by bacon butties and followed by coffee.

Stephen from Christian Aid came and talked of the life of those in South Sudan and Zimbabwe that they helped. I wore both the Bishop’s cross and my Silva compass with my robes and talked of guidance.

And then 10 miles back on the road bike. Wind flowing past you and the green hills in the sunshine.

Absolutely marvellous.

Now to write some sermons.
