On our Way

Up at 4.15am (ugh). Drove into Canterbury Cathedral, where we used to live. The Dean, Robert Willis, came out to wish us well, to bless us, and to promise to pray for us every day. Ten years ago he did the same: so this an anniversary ride. Last time there were 27 of us. This time 18 with ten originals. And then at 5.45 off down the A2 with the local Chapter of the Harley Davidsons escorting us on throbbing, growling motorbikes. 16 fairly gentle miles to Dover where they let us squeeze on to an earlier ferry. Hooray. The sun is shining. The seagulls are circling. All is looking good.
